Pendant que Manchester United, Chelsea et Manchester City se battaient à coup de millions pour recruter une star, Arsenal a profité de la fin du Mercato estival pour simplement prolonger le contrat de deux de ses jeunes joueurs. Mark Randall et Kieran Gibbs ont signé un nouveau contrat avec leur club formateur indique le site Internet des Gunners. La durée de ces nouveaux contrats n'a pas été communiquée. Rotherham United have completed the loan signing of Arsenal midfielder Mark Randall on a three month deal. The formalities of the transfer were completed today but not in time for him to be included in the side for the game with Wycombe Wanderers. "It is a done deal and he will be here on Monday," said Ronnie Moore. "It is fantastic for the club that Arsenal have allowed a player to come out who has played 13 first team games. He will train on Monday and be in contention to play for us in the game at Southend next weekend." Randall, 21, has made two senior appearances for the Premier League club, whilst also enjoying loan spells at Burnley in 2008 and Milton Keynes Dons in 2010.
